Every Other Day
Every other day, isn’t that a line from a Mama’s and Papas song? My sixties musical knowledge isn’t the best, too young you see. I’ve just checked and it is, good tune.
Well, I missed yesterday but that’s just how it goes, my morning writing time was interrupted by an urge to finally finish the shed and I am glad I did, as the weather today can only be described as wet, miserable and cold.
I did manage to write a post on WA, What You Need You’ll Attract (Cute Dog Pics Included) which touched on something that has been working for me recently, the law of attraction.
I like the LOA (Law of Attraction) because when all is said and done, it helps you to be positive, even if you don’t believe in it. Lately, I have been working on my ‘gratitude’. It’s not that I am not grateful for everything I have in life, it’s just that I am not very good at remembering to think about it.
So, I have been making a concerted effort to think grateful thoughts and so far the results have been promising, to say the least. I’m also thinking a great deal about ‘abundance’ and getting my ‘mindset’ sorted. Why not? It’s better than focusing on debt and moaning about not having as much money as you want.
Anyway, I stumbled across a video with Bob Proctor in and ended up making a few notes, which in turn led me to write a post about it. I also gave two of our dogs a mention as we are in the throes of getting another one, to add to our pack of three.
The lengths we go to, I ask you. We have just built a shed so that our backroom can be emptied into it and thus create enough space to house yet another dog, bringing our tally up to a grand total of four. Dexter is his name and apart from being quite aloof, he seems to be a decent sort, we’ll see.
He’s a Mioritic and Bucovina cross, with more of the Mioritic in him than the other, apparently, that will make him more stubborn, which should be fun. Believe me, I am under no illusions about how this is going to go down, the other three are ‘rare’ indeed. This will be our second addition this year, both of them ‘rescue’ dogs, as are the previous two.
Rather than regurgitate my latest WA post here (you can just click on the link and read it for yourself, should you so desire) I will move into an area I didn’t cover but is related, sort of.
The good thing about watching videos is the dialogue, sometimes there is a feast of wonderful quotes that just come from nowhere. The following might not equal that introduction but I thought it was decent enough,
“Everyone is born rich but most are a little short of money”
See, maybe not worthy of the back of a box of England’s Glory but good enough for here. First time I heard it, I did scratch my head, I’m not always the sharpest tool in the box but after the second time, the penny dropped, I get there in the end.
I agree with the statement, we are born with some pretty amazing assets, or as Prince (formerly known as Symbol) might say, “this thing called life”. It is extraordinary when you come to think of it.
Anyway, the quote was courtesy of Bob Proctor, who is worth looking up if you have time, he does have some wise words to pass on. In fact, his book ‘You Were Born Rich’ is also worth a gander. I might come back to this train of thought tomorrow, see if we can’t hash it out some more.
Enough from me for today, I will try to pop in tomorrow, rather than every other day, as it seems to be turning in to. I’m off to do the weekly shop, deep joy.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

N.B. This is a reminder to myself to talk about the shopping trip.
